Skill
Box jumps
Start all kids on a small (6″) box, and demonstrate proper jumping technique (2 foot take off, arm swing/hip loading). Explain landing softly on the balls of the feet, and stand to full hip extension.
When the kids can show proper understanding and ability, allow them to progress to incrementally higher boxes, leading to a max box jump where the younger kids can see what they’ll be doing, and the older kids can see how high they can jump.
Metcon (AMRAP – Rounds and Reps)
6:00 AMRAP in teams of 2
5 box jump overs
20 yard run
5 burpees
20 yard run
Game
Relay Races (have kids get in teams of 3 or bigger)
Distance should be around 20-30 yards (down and back). Kids will run down and back, tag next athlete and cycle through for a few sets.
