Athlete Profile: Tyler Hupp
Tyler moved to Sidney and joined Peninsula CrossFit in September, 2017. He has been CrossFitting for 2 years.
Favourite WOD or movement: Any Olympic lifting
Least Favourite WOD or movement: Thrusters and Burpees, they suck a bit of my soul each time I do them.
Proudest accomplishment: Probably getting muscle ups, I wanted them so bad!
Advice to someone just starting CrossFit: Come and join to get in shape, but keep coming because it’s fun to train with a bunch of great people. Even though it’s an individual sport it feels like a team because everyone works so hard no matter where they are at in their fitness journey.
Goals for this year: I’d love to get better at gymnastic movements
Tyler is a technician with his movements. He is continually perfecting his form and is very teachable. He is so encouraging to everyone else in the class. Even when he’s hurting in a long chipper, he’ll call out a ‘way to go, you got this’ to the person next to him.
