Proudest accomplishment:

-Qualifying for the Canwest Games as a Masters Athlete -Finishing 9th in Western Canada, Masters 55-59 in The Open 2018

Advice for someone just starting CrossFit:

-Listen to your coach -Scale appropriately -Ask for help -Give it a year (seriously you’ll love it)

Goals for this year:

-Make it to more open gym times -Continue to improve shoulder mobility -Improve Olympic lift technique -I really need to get stronger!

What we have to add about this athlete:

If you want to be impressed, come and watch Pieter do a workout… after a full weekend of sheep shearing… on five hours of sleep… and you’ll still be amazed. He is a very consistent athlete who strictly knows his pace. He has stood out in his Masters 55+ category in our CanWest region!
